The headwaters of this mighty 1400 mile river begin with “Gore Canyon” near Granby Colorado. White water rafting through the 90 miles of Class II-V+ on the Colorado River’s Little Gore Canyon offers calm family rafting to adrenaline pumping white water. The headwaters to the Colorado River lie deep within the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park near Longs Peak and Estes Park, Colorado and start in the fast paced class V+ rapids in Gore Canyon. Dvorak Expedition rafting options continue down through the calmer Class II & III options for those that prefer mellow outings.

This part of the Colorado River is the cutting edge of “BIG WATER” which is still run-able commercially @ (Class V+). Some portages are necessary and there is frequent scouting of these high adrenaline rapids. The Gore Canyon rafting trip is available by special arrangement only. This is one of the west’s major rivers providing the drainage system for 1/2 of the continental United States over its 1,400 mile length. AFTERNOON DELIGHT! Now that you’re wet and wild, you have explored a side canyon or perhaps walked back in time to the ancient one’s ruins or stopped for a snack on the water’s edge on a sunny beach – your tank of adrenaline has come and gone and guess what ? There is still half the day left. Your guides will set up a banquet of lunch delicacies for your delight.

THE RIVER DANCE BEGINS! First timers will rest assured that when we arrive to camp for the night your guides will set up camp and help you or show you how to set up tents.
