Happy Thanksgiving, From the Dvorak Family
We are thankful for so many things this year!
First, we are so thankful to be able to do what we do for a living and that we get to share that with our children and our grandchildren. Hopefully, the Dvorak family will continue to dominate the rivers of Colorado and beyond, sharing each rapid with new adventurers for years to come.
We are thankful that despite major drought in so many places all over the world, Colorado still managed to fill our water basins and the 2015 rafting season was nothing short of spectacular.
We are thankful that the efforts of Bill Dvorak and the many volunteers, politicians and conservationists paid off, resulting in President Obama proclaiming Brown’s Canyon a National Monument.
We are thankful that our Dvorak Expeditions family keeps growing. Each year we welcome a new generation of river rafter and future river guides for our Teen Skills Summer Camp, and each year we grow our family. We are thankful to be a part of every Teen Campers journey as they learn to navigate the rivers, appreciate the landscape and the wildlife and reap the many benefits that translate far beyond just being a river guide.
We’re thankful that we get to fish in some of the most exclusive fisheries in the world!
And last, we are thankful that as the first licences outfitters in the US and the oldest river rafting company in Colorado, our business is still going strong and we are able to make a living doing the things that we love the most. And we get to share our passion for the rivers and surrounding landscape with adventurers, families, businesses, kids and pets from all over the world. This is truly something to be thankful for!
These are just a few of the things that we are thankful for this year. We hope you have as many things to be thankful for as well.
