Whitewater Rafting
Take the whole family on a beautiful, exciting, and potentially life changing experience down one of the amazing sections of the world-famous Arkansas River. Browns Canyon National Monument is over 145 miles of scenic river with some mellow Class II sections and plenty of rowdy Class IV rapids. Half-day, Full day and multi-day Arkansas river trips are available daily May thru September.

The restaurants in Salida and Buena Vista have really stepped their game up. The Boathouse Cantina serves up some of our favorite margaritas, delicious tacos, and live music all while providing amazing front row views of the Arkansas River.
Sweeties Sandwich Shop provides you with an array of tasty and unique sandwiches and baked goods to keep you fueled all day.
House Rock Kitchen in Buena Vista serves up everything from grass-fed burgers to hearty bowls. With Kombucha on tap and a big patio, it’s one of our favorite spots to spend a late afternoon.
Top off your Memorial Day weekend with some amazing gourmet ice cream. Louie’s Ice Cream Shop on main street Buena Vista will knock your socks off with their homemade delectables.
Bluegrass On The Arkansas River
Enjoy live bluegrass music in downtown Salida on Saturday and Sunday (May 26-27). The lineup looks amazing and it is the perfect way to end your day out on the River
