Arkansas River drainage is just under 100 percent
Book you summer vacation now and make sure you get the most of your white water experience. Research tells us that end of July and August will see peak levels of water on the rivers of the southwestern US, especially on the Arkansas River where the river drainage is at just under 100%. This means that once again, the Arkansas River will be boasting family friendly Class III rafting trips filled with a few big waves and holes and a lot of fun for the whole family. But we’ll also be able to take experience rafters on a more challenging Class IV-V whitewater experience.
If you’re looking to hit the Salmon River in Idaho, expect a more friendly paddling experience that usual due to the snow pack being at only 69%, but we should still see plenty of action thanks to projected spring rain. This does mean that it will be much less intimidating if you’re going on a family trip, so this could be your chance to experience the Salmon River at a more family friendly pace.
