Arkansas River Royal Gorge is now OPEN to paddlers!
If you’re really looking to take on some serious rapids, now is the time. Due to excessive rains and melting snow rushing into our rivers, Royal Gorge was looking like it was going to be almost unrunnable during the summer months. Luckily for those adrenaline paddlers, the world famous Royal Gorge section of the Arkansas River has opened up again, boasting Class IV-V rapids. This is an excellent high adventure whitewater trip for experienced paddlers only.
